I don't know what is causing it. Each morning when I wake up I feel sick then it passes, if I eat something I feel sick, again it passes after about an hour, then again in the evenings I feel sick which normally lasts all night! Like I said this has been going on for over 2 weeks. I've never suffered with morning sickness through my previous pregnancys so I wouldn't know how that feels ugh! I am due to come on so I can't say I'm late. I haven't actually vomited or suffered with any nasty side affects from having stomache troubles so does anyone know what this could be?

FLOODS: Streets close to York city centre are under a deluge of water

Monday September 8,2008
By Mark Reynolds Have your say(0)
THE tail-end of a hurricane is set to batter Britain after a killer storm at the weekend claimed eight lives and caused millions of pounds of damage.

Howling gales and a month’s worth of rain lashed the country in just 48 hours, but last night Met Office experts warned that after a short respite worse is to come.

The remnants of Hurricane Hanna, blowing in from across the Atlantic, is expected to hit Britain on Thursday.

More than 100 flood warnings are already in place across the country and forecasters fear the next belt of torrential rain and high winds will leave even more areas under water – costing many more householders their homes.

A Met Office spokesman said: “The system coming in contains bits left over from the tropical storm Hanna.

“There will be two waves of rain, particularly affecting west Wales, Cumbria, Northern Ireland and south-west Scotland on Tuesday and Thursday.”

Phil Lewes & Tim Jones battled fast flowing water to rescue this ram in Herefordshire

The destructive power of the storm at the weekend brought widespread carnage, particularly to the South-west, North-west and the North-east of the country.

But more, perhaps worse, is to come for thousands as the storm which began thousands of miles away as Hurricane Hanna hits the UK.

Tom Defty, of forecasters metservice.co.uk, said: “The National Hurricane Center in the US is warning that what remains of Hanna will hit the UK by Thursday, bringing 45-50 mph winds and heavy rain.

The system coming in contains bits left over from the tropical storm Hanna.
Met Office

“Although it will no longer be tropical storm strength, it will nevertheless be a very heavy autumnal storm.

“It is set to bring a lot of rain to areas which have already been deluged.” Hanna, which has caused widespread damage in the Caribbean, is currently lessening in intensity as it approaches Britain.

But with many areas of the country already under water, further torrential rain is expected to cause chaos for the emergency services as flooding spreads.

“The exact course of the storm cannot yet be accurately plotted, but at present it looks set to hit Northern Ireland and Scotland on Thursday.

I browsed 'Corsica' and the adjoining islands and too my fliping suprise it has an 'Active' Volcano. I did not know this at all - honestly

I scaled Mount Teide in Tenerife 2 years ago and had the biggest buzz of my life, even though I went back this year, I didn't climb the mountain, for some reason it didn't feel right. I figured I'd be pushing my luck to survive a second hike and live to tell the tale, so instead I past it loving gestures from a great distance and prayed that it'll look the same in the morning!

Well I am interested in this mountain in the Med and with luck i'll visit it next year, scale it, conquer it, take great pics and hopefully survive to tell the tale. I won't take the kids though - thats just stupid, well especialy after what I read here. I'll have to take them some place else - somewhere safer. Check this out:

Fireworks night: Trekking Mount Stromboli

Where: Stromboli, Aeolian Sea near Sicily
Best Season: July & August are great times to stay up all night and watch the show
Best Sights: Dramatic firework show of throbbing hot lava
Remember to Bring: Flashlight, food & water, a guide & strong boots
Watch out for: Red hot lava missiles & changing weather conditions

Mt Stromboli gets ready to blow

Of all the Aeolian Islands, Stromboli is the most beautiful, a sheer volcanic rock rising from the sea. If you dare to brave it alone you can sleep on the foothills of 3000ft Mt Stromboli, an active volcano, and witness the onslaught of throbbing hot pieces of lava.

You can take a day trip to Stromboli, but it is better to stay at least one night in order to climb the volcano and see the dramatic lava flows and explosions against the night sky. It's a 3 hours strenuous hike from the village base to the summit.

How to get there

Cars cannot be taken to Stromboli village or the nearby village of Ginostra, so travelling in from Napoli by ship, hypdrofoil or small boat is the only option and then hike by foot.

Where to stay

The population of Stromboli during the summer months goes from about 500 locals to 7000, so you've got to book your accommodation well in advance. Hotels are expensive and a room in a pensione (hostel) costs about $35.
If you're planning a longer stay, there are hotels and guest houses on Stromboli but during the winter or high season (July and August) accommodation can be a problem so remember to book ahead.

Hiking Tips

- If you're not fully equipped you can buy hiking gear from Stromboli.

- Before you set out, take a trip to the visitor centre near Scari where you can find out more about the geology of this mystical and mighty volcano.

- You'll need a guide in order to climb who will take you all the way to the summit, and you'll find one at the San Vincenzo church square. It's not only illegal but dangerous to climb the volcano alone - as the weather may turn and fog, thunderstorms, falling rocks and with all that active lava can lead to a nasty accident. A guide will be better equipped to anticipate the mighty volcano's moods.

- To make the most of the fantastic night time fireworks, the parties leave in the afternoon staying at the summit until late at night. During the summer tours depart at midnight until the early morning.

- You should never sleep on the top, as occasionally there can be massive lava explosions, so the very top of the mountain should be climbed with a guide.

Equipment Essentials

Flashlight, food, water, hiking boots, sun protection and wind protection.

 Comments

How To Break Your Leg Properly!

Chase Cats!

I took him home and gave him some calpol and settled him on the sofa to rest, from that point on he vomited for 2 days. The whole house went on hold to care for him and by sunday we thought we saw a break in the 'bug'. he went all day without vomiting - phew was an understatement. He started to eat again right away, small amounts but he kept it down regardless. We put him on re-hydration meds and by yesterday evening he was able to play in the garden for a while. I settled him back in bed at bedtime, made sure he was comfortable etc and thought to myself thank gawd that's over with. I was so tired I had been constantly nursing him for nearly 3 days.

There's me naieve enough to think he was on the mend!!!
All last night and all day today he's been barking like a dog! He been having violent coughing fits, everytime he coughs it hurts his head, then he starts crying and yelling at everyone. Took him to the doctors, he has a chest infection. The anti-biotics he's on seem to be working on the temperature but there's no relief in the cough, crying or the yelling. We're all walking on pins around him.

It's so hard, it's hard on the rest of us aswell because now everyones blaming each other because somebody upset him and started him off, the atmosphere is so tense. The best I can do is sit with him and comfort him, reasure him it won't last forever. But everyone else demands my time and they're begining to wind me up. My son is my top prority right now, I wish the rest of them would find away to cope for themselves for a few more days. It's not like my son wants anyone else next to him - so far only I will do. I don't mind, I will be at his side how ever long it takes for him to get better, Im his slave for the moment, I just wish everybody else could see that I only have enough energy in me for him right now.

kk vent over.

 Comments

typical bank holiday weekend

Sigh, just a regular holiday weekend, lie in, eat a good wholsome breakfast followed by a trip to the A+E [huh]!!! Why Me? I had a phone call to say my son had been bitten on the forhead by mils alsation dog, aparently he was teasing it and the dog bit him! When hubby told me on the phone I imediatley phoned up primecare to see if his imunisations were up to date. The nurse said she needed me to phone her back the second my son got back home and as it happened they walked in, he was crying with a puncture hole above his eye. The primecare nurse on the phone sugested to take him to the hospital to have the hole glued.

Once we got down there, my son was seen to right away, the nurse there said she couldn't glue it because of the risk of infection, she continued to clean the wound, he was ok, he had stopped crying and was more interested in the spiderman car on the floor. She put this sterile dressing over the wound and gave him anti-biotics and a sticker. My son was happy again he is covered by the tetanus shot he had in school, I was so glad when they confirmed that, that was my biggest worry, wondering what infection he could get.

Sighing whistfully, what a perfect start to the school holidays!

What next. Stress is attracted to me, i'm like a magnet for it. <3

I haven't been diagnosed with pms but I think crying is a good indicator of it. Hubby was understanding and by far the only person who I can open up too properly. Even though the initial symptoms are more or less gone, the aftermath - 'Insomnia' just kicked in. I think I laid on my bed for most of the day just staring at the ceeling wondering how long this mood swing will last this time and wonder how many different ways I can hate people for no apparent reason. But thats how it is when we go through this phase, we get weird - We know this, Controlling it is another thing altogether!

The Met office has issued some warnings of thunderstorms to hit the south of England and parts of Wales for the next few days - Regular bank holiday + School Holiday weather eh! This helps loads ...not!!! Having my kids stuck in the house for most of the week isn't something I had planned, I don't really feel like having to deal with hyperactive kids right now. I just had a thought, maybe hubby could take them swimming through the week! Just figured something else out aswell, I must be comming back to normal since I have begun solving little problems again. What a relief!

I started a low calorie diet a few days ago, it's going well. I want to be able to walk around the beaches of tenerife without having to suck in my tummy. They say women shouldn't pay so much attention to how they look because men really don't see what we have problems with. Is that true? Do men 'not' see big asses and cellulite? I know my hubby loves me the way I am, but when a woman see's another slim perfectly formed woman we tend to want the same body and naturally we get paranoid. I was looking at other women on the beach last year and thought how did I let myself get so out of shape? I never used to be like this, and ended up pulling my towel up a little bit further. I don't want to do that this year, I want to feel proud for trying to look great, if it's not perfect it don't matter, at least I can say I tried. Until next time.

A TORNADO WATCH has been issued at 2000GMT on Thursday 6th December 2007

Valid from/until: 2100-1200GMT on Thursday 6th December/ Friday 7th December 2007, for the following regions of the United Kingdom & Eire:
Parts of (see map)
Much of England and Wales
Central and southern Eire
Midlands

THREATS: Tornadoes, small hail, convective wind gusts 50-60 knots, torrential rain, and possible cloud-ground lightning.

SYNOPSIS
Low 988 mb NW of Scotland introduces moist Polar Maritime airstream across the UK. Deep long wave upper trough likely to significantly overrun any post frontal troughing at surface. Outstanding sharply divergent upper jet stream funnels across southern portion of UK through period. Front left exit region contributing to lift. Cold front brings heavy rain to many parts overnight Thurs into Friday. Instability increases dramatically from 00Z Fri where a combination of, deep-layered shear, lift and mid level dry air punch combine and develop a sharp surface trough behind the cold front.

THREAT
Possibilities of strong convection behind the main cold front with the potential for 'isolated' strong cell development. Whilst winds remain rather straight lined in nature once again, there is nevertheless significant increase in speed shear between surface and 850mb. Somewhere in the region of 35 kts which will in theory be more than capable of creating environmental vorticity along a horizontal axis perpendicular to any storm development. Hence, a significant risk that stronger tornadoes could be generated. There is significant increase in speed shear with height up to the tropapause allowing for continuous propagation of developing cells and so to allow for a sustained feed of vorticity into any updraft.
The environment suggest a high shear / low instability scenario. Given the depth of the upper trough we can expect further thunderstorms to occur throughout the day for the west and southern coast of the UK & Ireland

Last year they dumped this in my lap, I numbingly made it through the speeches and awards but I know I made it painfully obvious how embarassed I was by shaking so much.

This year I don't have so much stage fright because I know what to expect; my confidence has built up over the past year through on the spot hireing and firing. Ive become more 'Professional' in what I do by the things I have learned, and know how to 'make it up as you go along' so to speak to make the best of that un-predictable situation.

I prepared the one of the speeches and will have to try and learn it off by heart, but I don't think it'll make a difference so taking a writen copy should avoid me making a ass of myself and to avoid forgeting vital bits of infomation.

Today, since it's been the only thing on my mind I was lucky to have a few cans here indoors to squash the 'lime-light' fear, however tomorow is another story. I know when im in the building I can practice the speech and sever whatever nerves are still there. Wish me luck!

I found myself phoning the Insurance comapny and asking them to sort it out. The conversation didn't go as well as I had hoped; As the roof is brand new, I had assumed that it would still be covered by the guarentee, this isn't the case if the wind blows the tiles off the roof, it's a new case of 'storm damage'. This annoyed me some since all they need to do is fix one darn tile back which is going to cost me the excess of £50. However the insurance company wants to Storm Proof the Roof - and are sending round a team of roofers with scafolding underarm to check the rest of the roof....geez. They believe this could take days. I can see they're point, if there are more loose tiles which can't be seen from the ground then there is always that risk of someone getting de-capatated...but I feel like they are trying to scam me again. Today I'll be watching them, may even go up the ladder wth them. I know that the screws needed to secure roof tiles are galvanated, they can't wear away in 2 years.
Anyway talk later <3<3<3

Im so behind on housework and washing etc; been pre-occupied with the kids during this school holidays that everything has been left on the back burner.

I really should get back to doing the wifey duties, but im addicted to blogging again lol. The transition from these holidays and back to normal routine is going to be hard. Ive become so lazy.

Maybe today of all days isn't a good day to start all this as im nursing a hangover lol. My husband and I went out for dinner last night and also had to many buds. Well who wouldn't lol.

kk catch y'all later.

Bye for now.

He cooks alot, i'll give him that, but he don't half make a mess. Ive been sorting things out for my weekend away next week - cleaning 'everything' as you can imagine. I don't know what it is, but it makes me feel better knowing its done before leaving.

Im trying to come up with something to cook for him, it's hard now because he's on a diet and no matter what I make him he turns his nose up at it. He's been eating alot of tuna and pasta - maybe i'll make him some of that.

I saw my sister last night - 1st time in weeks, she said my body shape has changed, that pleased me, because I know im loosing weight now lol. Its nice to have someone else opinion especially if you haven't seen them in ages.

Theres not much else to write about here, only that I have to go reduce the washing - black bag job lol theres so many clothes here that don't get worn, its easier to bin them all. I would take them down the charity shop, but I really don't have the time. I don't think anybody would buy them anyway - my bys destroy everything they own.

Anyway talk to y'all later. Have a great weekend.

Then you get kicked out for being too healthy.

Every morning they my house resembles a battle field, rasied voices and tempers flaring all because they have become too lazy to wash and clean they're teeth.

This morning was the same, I told them im not letting them walk out the door until they are squeeky clean and gleeming, gosh the fuss. My husband came down and took myside - ordered the boys to go and wash and then they did - just like that, How come they didn't do that for me?

My husband don't mind sorting the boys out in the morning which halves the battle, but most days I have to be around before they go to school to catch up on a few things before starting work. They're attitudes are really winding me up. I know it's they're age, but hygene ... they have to incorporate that into they're lives regardless of the changes they are going through.

Sometimes I feel like they hate me, but if I don't keep on top of them they'll run rings around me. I also thought about rewarding them for pulling themselves together, but I don't know what to reward them with that they will appreciate? Right now everything I do is wrong. I feel like im getting to the point of why bother!

Anybody with some tips will be added to my christams card list. xxxxx

Don't you just hate that! Seeing someone "Burst" into life at the horendous sound of an alarm clock followed by chirpy skips to the bathroom singing for they're breakfast whilst peeing.

I am so jelous of people like that - I have never been like that; don't matter if I have 3 days sleep - I still feel intimidated by the alarm clock; if depression was a sound - it would sound like an alarm clock!
Another thing, it doesn't make sence when you say good morning to people and its quite obviously the middle of the night since its still dark outside, next week the clocks go back "Again"! sigh!

Im not a morning person, in fact im not a night person either come to think of it. I was awake all night scratching. I think I know what caused this maddening itch; 'Coenzyme Q10'. My husband spotted this pot of pills in the vitamin section in tesco's, it's a powerful anti-oxident and help maintains a healthy heart. It made up of a large ammount of vitamin E. I took one before bed for the only purpose of helping my heart as I was diagnosed with WPW (a rare heart condition) - a harmless supplement I assumed.

I don't think my body appreciates fake 'Lumins', arn't we supposed to get all of our vitamin E from the rays of the sun first thing? All I can see right now is the moon lol.

I have spied these lumin light alarm clocks on the market, they are supposed to gradually light up as bright as the sun, convince your brain
that its morning - help you achieve the feeling of daylight. Apparently it also aides people who suffer with the seasonal depression.
I thought about getting on of those but then thought "whats the point?"
I'd wake up feeling great - touched by the hand of God - skip 'n' sing to the batroom and pee, open the curtains only to find it's STILL THE MIDDLE OF THE DARN NIGHT".

Arghhhhhh botom line is - We can't beat mother nature. Im always going to hate mornings.

Have a pleasent day folks xxx
